Tonight's forecast is looking quite variable at this point with conflicting reports. Overall we can expect partly cloudy skies, with a chance of clearing or a chance of fog overnight. The 2% waxing crescent Moon will set just after 8:00 p.m. leaving dark skies in its wake. We also have the Perseid Meteor Shower continuing tonight, though decreasing in frequency, we are still seeing many Perseid meteors at Frosty Drew. If skies can stay clear(er), we could have a good night.

We plan to open the Observatory and Sky Theatre at 8:00 p.m. In the Observatory, Saturn will be on display showing off its stunning rings and moons. As we move through twilight we will showcase deep sky objects and binary stars as long as the skies hold out. In the Sky Theatre our astrophoto showcase created at Frosty Drew will be featured. We will stay on site until clouds or fog chase us out. Following us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/FrostyDrewOBSY) or Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/FrostyDrewObservatory) will keep you informed if we decide to close up.

Overall, tonight is a risk. We may have a great night or weather could have different plans for us. We will setup with the hopes of clearer skies, but those with the long drive may want to sit this one out.
