An Almost-Supermoon

An Almost-Supermoon

Friday night (July 11, 2014) at Frosty Drew Observatory was an excellent night of stargazing under the "super" bright Moon. The monthly lunar perigee and full lunar phase are taking place on July 12th, making this a somewhat Supermoon.

We captured this shot during public stargazing, showcasing the 99% waxing gibbous Moon.
