Jupiter and the Great Red Spot

Jupiter and the Great Red Spot

Jupiter has been showing off its beautiful self this past winter and views at Frosty Drew Observatory have been stunning. Jupiter reached opposition on February 6th, which is when Jupiter is on the opposite side of Earth than the Sun. The top dog of all Solar System planets will continue to mesmerize through the Spring and into Summer.

We snapped this shot of Jupiter during Stargazing Night at Frosty Drew on March 6, 2015. Be sure to visit Frosty Drew this Spring as Saturn will join Jupiter and Venus in the night sky. Woot!
