Albireo: A Binary Star in Cygnus

Albireo is a fabulous double star easily visible in the constellation Cygnus. Identifiable as the head of Cygnus the swan, Albireo lies 385 light years distant from Earth.

We captured this photo at Frosty Drew Observatory on Saturday November 15, 2014 under a stunning starscape. Check out Albireo for yourself on a Friday night at Frosty Drew Observatory during the Spring, Summer, and Autumn seasons.
