Myths, Lore and Legends
This introductory class is intended for teens and adults. The
somewhat tongue in cheek approach to classical mythology may be a bit
bewildering to younger attendees. This class will be given in one 2
hour session. You will want to print the Star Lore, Myths and Legends Materials .
Many but not all of the tales I will tell are listed here and we will
also be identifying the relevant constellations.
You may wish to try our Myths, Lore
and Legends Exercises which reinforce your understanding. These
are NOT tests and are not scored. If you have problems with them your
instructor will try to help you understand.

Whats up?
This section will review what currently up in the sky, followed
by seasonal maps. This will be done on the computer so that
constellations not visible currently can be described. Weather
permitting, we will then locate the visible constellations and
mention the best of the associated stories.
