Autumn is a special season at Ninigret salt pond. Juvenile fish and invertebrates have grown to become adults, seaside plants are bearing their fruits, and tropical fish have strayed north thanks to summer storms and the Gulf Stream.

Join Frosty Drew Nature Center Naturalists and explore the shore of Rhode Island's largest coastal salt pond, and using a 40-foot seine net, we’ll also discover the rich marine life within Ninigret Pond!

Meet at Grassy Point parking lot in the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge. (Directions)
