Saturn Among Moons

Saturn Among Moons

We captured this shot of Saturn on June 2, 2014 at the Observatory. We finally had a great night with not much lunar obscuration to shoot this sky. Atmosphere was not as nice as expected though we were able to pull off this shot.

In this photo the Cassini Division is quite visible as well as five of Saturn's moons: Titan (top), Enceladus (tiny top left), Dione (far top left), Rhea (bottom center), Tethys (bottom right).

Saturn will be visible all summer at Frosty Drew Observatory.
