Earth Day at Frosty Drew Observatory

Earth Day at Frosty Drew Observatory

Spring is the best time of year to catch the brilliant Milky Way rising over Frosty Drew Observatory. The early morning times bring stable atmospheric conditions and significantly less light pollution from surrounding communities. Continuing through the summer season at Frosty Drew, the Milky Way is set to dazzle all who attend on moonless nights.

We captured this photo on the morning of Earth Day 2015 while observing the Lyrid meteor shower.
