Messier 103, which is found in the constellation Cassiopeia, is a small open cluster. It is comprised of 172 confirmed stellar components and resides at a distance of 9,000 light years distant. The cluster's age is about 25 million years old. Most of the brighter stars in the cluster are hot blue stars, with a red giant residing at the center of the cluster.
