This is the first image ever captured of Sagittarius A* (Sagittarius-A-Star), the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Think about that! This is a picture of the center of the galaxy!. Credit: The Event Horizon Telescope collaboration captured this image in April 2017, and released it in May 2022.
