2018 Geminid Meteor Shower

2018 Geminid Meteor Shower
Overnight December 13-14, 2019 the annual Geminid Meteor Shower peak occurred. This is the best meteor shower of the year, bringing up-to 150 additional meteors per hour to the sky under excellent viewing conditions. This year we had clouds for nearly the entire night. Though myself and a couple other night photographers stuck the night out and caught a view for about an hour before sunrise when sky cleared. During that time I captured this composite photo showing Geminid meteors radiating from the constellation Gemini. Image: Scott MacNeill / Frosty Drew Observatory
