Supernova 2014J in the Cigar Galaxy
Here is a comparison of two shots I captured of M82 - the Cigar Galaxy. On the left is M82 on January 4, 2014 showing no supernova. On the right is M82 on January 22, 2014 clearly showing the supernova taking place. This supernova could still brighten significantly over the next week.
