Tonight's forecast is calling for clouds, showers, thunderstorms, and fog. Though there is a small chance of periodic clearings in tonight's forecast, the threat of thunderstorms will keep the Observatory closed. Another night of very unfortunate weather considering the 10% waxing crescent Moon would have hung beautifully over the western horizon into twilight, leaving behind amazingly dark skies. If you catch a clearing during twilight, be sure to step out and look toward the west to catch a beautiful site of the crescent Moon. We will return to our regular Stargazing Nights schedule on Friday, July, 24th.
