Tonight, beginning at sunset, a fabulous conjunction of Jupiter and Venus is taking place. Until near 10:45 p.m., when Jupiter and Venus set, both planets will appear within 0.3º of each other. This will place both Venus and Jupiter visibly together in the Frosty Drew telescope! Additionally, the conjunction will make for excellent naked eye views in the western twilight sky and excellent photographic opportunities.

Frosty Drew Observatory will be open for this fantastic conjunctions. Starting at 8:00 p.m. we will be showing both Venus and Jupiter in the primary 16” telescope. At the completion of the conjunction Saturn will be on display for those hoping for a glance at Saturn's fascinating rings. We will stay open until 11:00 p.m. or until clouds chase us out.

Take a moment to stop in at Frosty Drew Observatory tonight and catch an awesome view of Venus and Jupiter as they showcase their celestial dance.
