Our First Ever View of the Aurora over Jupiter's South Pole
The infrared imager on Jupiter, called JIRAM, captured this photo of the fabulous aurora over Jupiter's south pole on August 27, 2016. This is the first time humans have seen the south polar aurora on Jupiter. Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/SwRI/MSSS
