Day 1 — Rocket Building
Learn and understand how rockets work and fly. Students will each get to build their own rocket that will fly as high as 1,000 feet. Launch is slated for Day 5.

Day 2 — Part A: The Universe
Explore the solar system and beyond. A lecture demonstration will be given to display more information on the subject. Students will then design and create alien life forms as well as create star wheels for gazing.

Day 3 — Living & Working in Space
Find out what it’s like for the astronauts to live and work in space. Detailed models, a moon suit, space food, and hands-on activities will be presented. Each student will have their own Astronaut Portrait taken in a shuttle flight suit.

Day 4 — Space Station
Take a look into the history and development of the International Space Station, currently in Earth’s orbit. Then students will design their own Space Station or Mars base.

Day 5 — Part A: Principles of Flight
Using materials such as gliders, balloons, and water rockets, explore and understand the principles of flight.

Day 5 — Part B: Rocket Launch
Family and friends are invited to witness the launching of the model rockets made on Day 1. Following the rocket launch, all are invited to the program’s closing ceremony where certificates, awards, and the Astronaut Portraits are presented.
