Have you seen the rings of Saturn, the phases of Venus, or the moons of Jupiter? How about the dust lanes of the Andromeda Galaxy or the beautiful wisps of the Orion Nebula? Well this is your chance to make a discovery of the cosmos at the Frosty Drew Observatory and Sky Theatre's acclaimed Stargazing Night, a unique astronomical experience for all.
Every Friday night starting at sunset or 6:00 p.m., whichever comes later, the Observatory and Sky Theatre open with telescopes offering views of the beautiful night sky over Ninigret Park, showcasing the Milky Way, the Moon, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter, and Mars. As the night continues, nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters will be on display. We stay open late, sometimes until dawn, and close when the skies become unobservable or everybody leaves.
If you're looking for that fun science thing to do, or just want to get out under the stars and marvel at the stunning starscape overhead. Then this is your chance to be astonished with the fascination of astronomy at Frosty Drew Observatory and Sky Theatre.
