Tonight's forecast is calling for full cloud cover, heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 34mph. All of this is not stargazing friendly. Unfortunately, this forecast will, again, keep the Observatory and Sky Theatre closed tonight. Last night we had an excellent night of stargazing as well as some excellent nights during the week. Hopefully, New England skies are starting to shake off the cloudy, fog laden bout we have been stuck with. We will return to our regular Summer Stargazing Nights schedule on Friday, July 3, 2015.

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015 the fabulous twilight conjunction of Jupiter and Venus is happening and Frosty Drew Observatory will be open for the event. Starting at 8:00 p.m. we will open the Observatory and campus for viewing of the conjunction. Jupiter and Venus will be close enough to be seen together in the Frosty Drew telescope and will be a stunning site to see! Afterward, Saturn will be on display for those looking to catch a glimpse of the rings.

Tonight's weather is certainly a downer, though Tuesday's conjunction will be amazing! Stop in this coming Tuesday for a view.
