Public Night Log

Last night we had a good turn out at the Observatory, 55 people signed out guestbook, though I would say we had double that number present. We started the night with a good view of Venus. After, we swung over to Mars but increasing atmosphere made observation difficult. We took a quick blinding peak at the Full Moon which left observers stumbling away from the eye piece. Later in the night the atmosphere settled a bit and gave us a great first look at Saturn for 2012 season.
Lets hope last nights clear skies become a regular Friday night happening as we move into a fantastic time of year for observation!
