Comet F3 NEOWISE on July 15, 2020
Check out this fabulous image of Comet C/2020 F# NEOWISE captured at Frosty Drew Observatory on July 15, 2020. On this night, Frosty Drew astronomers measured the length of the comet's tail visible to the unaided-eye at 10ยบ long. The comet has also developed three tails. The obvious dust tail, a subtle ion tail in top, and an embedded sodium tail, which is visible as the purple glow in the dust tail.
