The Full Moon of May goes by the name The Flower Moon, which pays tribute to all the budding and blooming that is happening in the Northern Hemisphere second half of spring. Other names the May Moon go by, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, are the Budding Moon, Planting Moon, Frog Moon, and Moon of the Shedding Ponies.
