First View Inside Sample Return Capsule
On September 24, 2023 the OSIRIS-REx mission successfully returned a sample of the asteroid 101955 Bennu to the Utah desert. The capsule was eventually transferred to NASA's Johnson Space Center, where the capsule that contained the sample canister, was opened. Inside the capsule was a black powdery-like substance alongside sand from the asteroid.
