May is a fantastic month to catch sight (or a photo) of the Milky Way galaxy stretching across the sky over Frosty Drew Observatory. The galactic nucleus rises over the trees in the hours after midnight, making for a stunning view of thousands of stars, cold hydrogen gas, star clusters, and star forming nebulae. This fabulous view was captured by Brandon Buckman in early May 2018.
