The Great Cluster in Hercules

We captured this shot of M13 - The Great Cluster in Hercules on the morning of June 2, 2014 at the observatory. M13 is a globular cluster that lies 22,000 light years away in the constellation Hercules. M13 is made up of 300,000 - 1,000,000 stars.

Additionally this shot showcases the dim galaxy NGC 6207 which is visible at the top left of the image.

M13 is on our Summer and Autumn target list. Stop in on Friday nights to catch a glimpse of this breath taking star cluster.
