M13 - The Hercules Cluster
The Hercules Cluster (M13) is a huge globular cluster found in the constellation Hercules. Measuring about 145 light years in diameter, M13 is comprised of over 300,000 stars. Residing at a distance of about 25,000 light years, M13 is a relatively close globular cluster. The Hercules Cluster is visible at Frosty Drew Observatory from the spring through autumn and is a site to see! -Scott
