Messier 34 - The Spiral Cluster
Messier 34 (M34) also known as The Spiral Cluster, is an open star cluster found in the constellation Perseus. The cluster is comprised of about 400 small to mid-sized stars, like the Sun, and resides at a distance of 1,500 light years. Spanning 7 light years in diameter, M34 is barely naked eye visible when viewed from super dark locations. This image of M34 was captured at Frosty Drew Observatory on Sunday, October 14, 2018.
