The Quadrantid Meteor Shower

The Quadrantid Meteor Shower
The Quadrantid Meteor Shower peak occurs every January 3rd and lasts for only about 3 hours. This is one of the best meteor showers of the year, bringing an increase in regular meteor activity to upwards of 120 meteors per hour if the super short peak period happens overnight. Quadrantid meteors will appear to radiate from the, now defunct, constellation Quadrans Moralis, which is found along the boundaries of the constellations Ursa Major and Bootes.
