On September 22, 2017 at 12:52 p.m. EDT, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft received an energy boost from Earth in a gravity assist maneuver. OSIRIS-REx is traveling to Near Earth Asteroid (NEA) Bennu where it will take a sample from the asteroid and return it to Earth in 2023.
