Cold Temps and Intense Frost

Cold Temps and Intense Frost
Wintertime temps at Frosty Drew Observatory are intensely cold. Usually we have a steady 4 mph wind over the barren landscape, which is unrelenting and will hit an unsuspecting visitor like an ice block. Though when the winds actually subside, the frosty becomes a disaster. This image shows one of our team members telescope and camera completely covered in heavy frost. That's a fun break down right there.
