Arecibo Telescope

Arecibo Telescope
The Arecibo Telescope at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. The telescope was constructed in 1963 and was the largest single aperture telescope on Earth until 2016 when China's FAST took the title. The Arecibo Telescope is a radio telescope that has an extensive history with SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence), and Near Earth Asteroid detection and study. The Arecibo Telescope collapsed in December 2020, adding to a tumultuous year for humanity!
