A Gravity Assist of Venus
This is a photo of Venus' nighttime side captured by the NASA Parker Solar Probe on July 11, 2020 from a distance of 7,693 miles above Venus' cloud tops. The Parker Probe performs gravity assist maneuvers with Venus to allow for orbit modification, and speed accumulation, and will complete seven gravity assist events, with Venus, over the course of its mission.
