Friday and Saturday. Overcast skies broken by occasional gaps with thin sunshine and frequent periods of showers and a rumble of thunder or two dominated both days. We were eagerly awaiting a shower this weekend eagerly but of the meteoric rather than the meteorologic nature. Unfortunately Persied Anticipation was replaced by perspiration. -Les Coleman
