5 people. It was a quiet evening at FDO. It started very cloudy but just before I decided to go home, a father and daughter drove up. I was dubious but we tried. Slowly the clouds got a bit thinner and we could look at a few bright objects. We looked at M13 and it was a smudge initially but by later in the evening it was glorious - thousands of brilliant points of light. Again, Mars started out as a gray (yes gray) blob but cleared up nicely just before closing. We looked at a lot of old favorites before everyone else left. I stayed for a while, but finally gave into the idea of a nice hot cup of cocoa before settling for a long winters nap.
