No people. Heavy clouds blocked the skies tonight.

On the good side of things, we seem to have the shutter motor repaired at long last. It is now running on the floor, and hopefully it will run when it is reinstalled. There was a broken connection between one of the "brushes" and the armature if I understood things right from the repair shop. We also have a connector plug which needs to be replaced. If all goes well, we'll have it in place and working before next Thursday.

I plan to swap the connectors from Black Bart's Lasso (our heavy black extension cable) to the principle cable. When I can find some additional connectors online, I will replace the dubious connectors (now on Black Bart's Lasso) with fresh ones). Since we only use Black Bart's Lasso under unusual conditions, this will work fine. We managed without Black Bart's Lasso for seven years, so I guess we can get by until the new connectors arrive.
