Joe sent Les an urgent note urging to grab his Questar with the safe solar shields and look at the Sun. The greatest sunspot since 1992 has erupted. This storm, many times the size of the Earth, is amazingly detailed. I've included my sketch. The limb darkening (the darkening of the Sun near the edges) was very pronounced. The orange color of the Sun is an artifact of the silver mirroring in my solar shields.
