This constellation is part of the Zodiac
The twin brothers born of different fathers. Castor was born of a human; Pollux.s father was Jupiter. When Castor died, Pollux begged his father to let him be with his sibling for all eternity. This is why the constellation is seen for half the year in the sky . a sign that Castor is allowed to return to life . and half the year below the horizon . when Pollux joins his brother in Hades. Roman mythology also has this constellation as Romulus and Remus, the brothers who founded Rome.
